Hell–you get to LIVE there!
you can too! aren’t you abandoning the stinking…i mean sinking ship of FLA?
did you live at 14th and first? stuy town? or the jack kerouac flats on the other side of 14th?
20th and First–Peter Cooper Village (Stuy Town with somewhat bigger apartments). I lived there off and on from when I was about 6 until about 2001. It was great–and my son’s first home, too.
thought it might be…i have rented many apartments in there…
It was originally built (you probably know this) as affordable housing for returning WW2 vets. Then Met Life got greedy…
…greedier you mean
Can’t abandon ship at the moment–my son has to finish school (next year, Insha’Allah), and I’m also taking care of my mother here. After that you can find me an apartment at 176 Suffolk Street.

Lovely poem, Nancy. Life, death, the between, and more, continuing…
Thanks so much, Robert! I’m so glad you like it.
Congrats on the publication and nice poem! I’m not familiar with Manhattan but your poem took me to this intersection and gave me this quick spin through part of your life review.
Thanks for sharing! (And sorry I sort of disappeared for a bit. :|)
Cheers!
Thank you, eLPy! I’m glad you liked it. It’s nice to hear from you!
